From Reality 5.3 SP2 to SP3

Reality 5.3 SP3 introduces substantial major features along with various subtle but impactful changes you have to consider.

  • We recommend you back up your data and perform a clean installation.

  • To control Reality 5.3 SP3, you have to use Reality Hub 1.5.0 or later.

  • RealityVideoProjectionDOFBypass is a licensed feature and enabled by default. Disabling it will remove the license warning. For further details, feel free to reach our Sales Support department.

  • The VideoTranslucencyDetail property of the CompositePasses node can be beneficial for eliminating vignetting in multi-cleanplate workflows along with the Cyclorama node's ProjectionTextureSmoothness property, particularly for cameras that create severe vignetting. You can set it to 1 (default) for the new detail-enhancing algorithm that minimizes vignetting. For setups that might benefit from the previous behavior, you can choose 0. Fine-tuning is possible with values between 0 and 1 (e.g., 0.2, 0.5).

  • If you choose to use new Cleanup feature in Zero Density License Manager, following conditions apply:

    • Maintenance Entries: The system will preserve the maintenance entry with the latest expiry date, even if it's technically expired.

    • Expired Licenses: All other expired license entries will be permanently deleted.
