How Precise Should the Profiling Be?

For XR production with an LED wall, a very precise profiling of the lens and also the tracker is usually required. Such profiling might be a lengthy and highly iterative process that requires expertise of tracking systems and lenses in general. This is true especially for certain lenses which have complicated and non-linear multi-factor distortion behavior.

However, for green screen virtual studio, or standard augmented reality scenarios, even a quick and coarse profiling would be sufficient most of the time.
