System Inspection

Component-Level Health Assessment

  • Regularly inspect and test each OptiTrack camera in the rig to ensure they can effectively read IR signals and capture marker data.
  • Periodically check the servo motor to verify its functionality for lens zoom and focus adjustments.
  • Examine the reflective markers on the rigid body to ensure they are active and in good condition.
  • Assess the integrity of the Hirose cables and connectors to confirm they are securely connected and transmitting data without issues.
  • Implement a schedule for routine maintenance of all components to prevent and address any potential issues promptly.

System Integrity Check

  • Verify the connectivity and data flow between the OptiTrack cameras, broadcast camera and TrackBody to ensure data integrity.
  • Regularly check the Moxa equipment in the TrackBody for network connectivity and stability.
  • Conduct system-wide diagnostic tests to identify any issues with data transmission, sensor functionality, or hardware components.
  • Implement redundancy or failover mechanisms to maintain system integrity in case of component failures.
  • Create a comprehensive checklist for system startup and shutdown procedures to prevent errors and ensure data integrity.

Component Audit

  • Periodically inspect and document the condition of each camera, including the state of their IR sensors and lenses.
  • Keep records of reflective marker maintenance, such as replacements or cleaning schedules.
  • Maintain an inventory of spare Hirose cables and connectors in case of replacements or repairs.
  • Document the status of the servo motor and its lens adjustments, including any maintenance performed.
  • Maintain records of any component replacements and repairs for future reference.

System Performance Assessment

  • Regularly monitor the tracking accuracy and precision of the system by comparing the real-world position of the rigid body with the data provided by the cameras.
  • Perform system performance tests under various conditions, such as different lighting environments, to ensure consistent tracking results.
  • Analyze data latency and throughput to ensure that tracking data is delivered in a timely manner.
  • Collect and store historical performance data for trend analysis and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Implement performance optimization strategies, such as software updates or hardware enhancements, based on the assessment results.
