Nodegraph Modes
The Nodegraph provides two distinct operational modes designed to balance flexibility during setup and stability during live operation. These modes are Configuration Mode and Live Mode.
Configuration Mode
Configuration Mode is intended for setup, design, and testing purposes. In this mode, there are no restrictions on usage.
Live Mode
Live Mode is designed for operational safety during real-time events. It applies restrictions to prevent accidental or unauthorized changes that could disrupt performance or stability.
When Live Mode is active, following features are disabled:
- Moving, adding, or removing nodes.
- Nodegraph menus and context menus.
- Creating or deleting connections.
- Pin hover effects.
- The Action Timeline Interface.
Additionally, the Node outline color changes to green for clear visibility.
Only property editing remains available during the Live Mode.
Mode Switching
You can switch between modes using the Mode Menu.
- Live Mode is indicated with a green status.
- Configuration Mode is indicated with an orange status.
When a Show is launched, the Nodegraph automatically starts in Live Mode.
Indicators
- When using Live Mode, this information is also printed over the Nodegraph canvas, as illustrated above.
- Changing the Nodegraph Mode is also reflected to Engine Display Toolbar, as shown above.
