Fine Tuning Reality Keyer

The fine-tuning process for Reality Keyer involves several steps aimed at refining the key for seamless composite. Here's an overview of the key steps:

Fine-Tuning Soft and Hard Mattes: Start by adjusting the combined soft matte for smooth edges and fine details. Fine-tune the gamma values for soft matte 1 and 2, adjusting the red and blue weights for optimal results. The hard matte is then used to fill in holes in the soft matte, with adjustments to the gamma, red/blue weights, black/white points, and softening using erosion.

Final Matte Settings: After refining the soft and hard mattes, combine them into the final matte. You can adjust the gamma, black and white clamping to further refine the matte.

Spill Options: Fine-tune the spill matte using red/blue weights and gamma adjustments. Then, perform screen subtraction using the spill matte to remove green edges and core spill. Spill suppression can be applied to remove residual green spill, with further adjustments using the suppression and spill weights.

Adding Back a Spill Color: To minimize noise from the subtracted spill, add back the appropriate spill color for the core and edges.

Color Correction: Adjust the exposure, gamma, and contrast of the keyed subject to match the lighting and environment of the virtual background for coherent composition.
