Behavior You Should Know

Live updates​

When you are already previewing and change form fields, updates are sent to the engine automatically (with a short delay to avoid flooding the server). You should see graphics change without pressing Play again.

Closing your browser or tab​

If you disconnect from Reality Hub while previewing, your slot is released automatically so others can use it.

Engine recovery​

If the preview engine crashes or exits unexpectedly while the Preview Module is running, Reality Hub attempts to restart the engine and restore preview channels automatically.

Slots after reconfiguration​

If the number of preview channels changes (for example, after changing slot count and restarting), users on removed channels may lose their preview session.

What you cannot do while preview is running​

  • Change the project or map.
  • Change the number of slots.
  • Turn off Preview mode on the engine host.

Stop the preview server first, then make those changes.
